The Icelandic low-cost carrier WOW Air adds a new North American destination to its route network. This comes shortly after the airline confirmed the end of five US destinations last week.

Starting in June 2019, WOW Air will fly from Reykjavik to Vancouver six times a week. The new route to the Canadian city will be operated by the airline’s brand new Airbus A321neo aircraft.
The service will allow travellers from Canada to connect to New Delhi, Tel Aviv and numerous European destinations via a stopover in Iceland.

We are delighted to expand our roster of destinations to include Canada’s west coast“, said Skúli Mogensen, CEO and Founder of WOW Air.

With the addition of WOW Airlines, we are well on our way to reaching our goal of 29 million passengers by 2020 and will have 57 airlines servicing the YVR community“, added Craig Richmond, President and CEO of Vancouver Airport Authority.

The new route to Vancouver becomes the carrier’s third destination in Canada after Toronto and Montreal. WOW Air’s new flights to Orlando, Florida begin in December. Furthermore, the airline will commence a new service to New Delhi, India in December.
