Airbus and the leasing company Avolon have announced an order for 100 Airbus A320neo family aircraft on Friday. The new agreement includes 75 A320neo and 25 A321neo airplanes, which will be delivered from 2023 onwards.

Our order for 100 A320neo family aircraft builds on our leading industry position and reflects our ambition to become the global leader in the sector. We continue to see robust demand from our customers for the A320neo family globally. Dómhnal Slattery, Avolon CEO

Avolon signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the order at the Farnborough Air Show in July as an ‘undisclosed customer’. The agreement is valued at $11.5 billion at current list prices.

In total, the Ireland-based aircraft lessor has more than 250 Airbus planes on order. Most recently, in November, Avolon delivered the world’s first Airbus A330-900neo to TAP Air Portugal.
