All Nippon Airways (ANA) will launch a new daily non-stop route from Tokyo Haneda Airport to Vienna in 2019. The service, which starts on February 17, will be served by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Vienna is known as the historical and geographical gateway to Central and Eastern Europe, and we look forward to strengthening ties between Japan and this dynamic region by offering flights that are ideal for business travelers and tourists.Seiichi Takahashi, Senior Vice President of ANA

Moreover, ANA’s partnership with the Lufthansa Group will allow it to meet the increased demand for Japan-bound flights from Austria and neighboring countries such as Germany or Switzerland.

On the basis of the fleet size, the Star Alliance member is the largest airline in Japan. Its fleet consists of narrow-body (including both Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737) and wide-body airplanes (including Boeing 767, 777 and 787 aircraft). ANA will soon become the first Japanese carrier to receive the Airbus A380.
